Conceived in 2010 and written steadily since, Manetowak is Josiah Harrist's first novel. Inspired by Akira Yamaoka's infernal trip hop, small town detective procedurals, Mosinee, WI and personal grief, the book is equal parts genre thriller and meditation on loss.
